From Facebook Meet In Q:
Wow, YOU DID IT !YOU MADE IT HAPPEN !
LOTS OF FOLKS WILL HAVE FOOD BECAUSE OF YOU !
This morning I presented a check for $15,023, on behalf of YOU, generous Q'ers, to Lois A Dupre ,the President of the Quartzsite Food Bank.
On behalf of Lois, Doc Robertson(our incredibly hard working chairman this year) and myself,I can't even
begin to express the gratitude.
NO ONE SHOULD GO HUNGRY
Your Meet In Q RV group is AWESOME!!
I just want to thank all of you who have helped make this happen. I know Mike, Doc and Bre headed this fundraiser and did a tremendous job but it could not have happened without the help of all of you! You bring tears to my eyes.
This has been our toughest season ever with the number of people doubling over last year that needed our help. We had thought with Covid going down that our numbers would go back to normal but there were more people than ever who needed a hand up.
We are a private 501c3 nonprofit that does not work on government funds like the big food banks. We need to raise all the money it takes to buy our groceries and pay our overhead. Luckily we have the best group of volunteers that make it happen.
Thank you all so much!
Lois Dupre, President Friends of the Quartzsite Food Bank
You can still help by donating to the fundraiser by clicking here until the end of March.

Drawing today for the two raffles conducted by Meet in Q for our annual fundraiser in support of the
QUARTZSITE FOOD BANK.
Through your generosity, we set a new record this year and the prior two years each, for the largest private donations in the history of the Food Bank.
So many Q'ers and Quartzsite locals and vendors helped us make this happen.
I know that I'm going to miss a few
and I apologize up front but a short list of those that made a difference:
Joanne Bess, owner of the Pink Pig
in Tyson Wells and Elinore, owner of Mama Bear in Tyson Wells for
working tirelessly and recruiting many merchants in Tyson Wells in
our effort.
John Quartzsite,
(John Castro) owner of Branding Iron BBQ & Burgers for helping with our Halloween Party
Shanana Rain Bear and Becky Johnstone of the Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Bureau
Lois A Dupre , President of the Food Bank & Victor Stoe, manager of the Food Bank for assisting us in so many ways, all along the way.
Nancy Nichols of the Quartzsite Improvement Association (QIA)
and last but not least, my good friend, Co-Admin of Meet in Q
and leader of this year's effort,
Miles Robertson (Doc) and his wonderful wife Brecinda Robertson , who together were the vision, backbone, tireless workers and glue that kept us going and made it happen.
Thanks to one and all!
Winners are being contacted and
once contacted, will be announced
