We feel we cannot conduct this fundraiser in a manner that would be safe for everyone. At this event people would just be too close together. We hope to continue the Soup and Chowder next year or maybe even in the spring.
Thank you to all who have helped make this such a great event in the past.
Please make a donation to make a difference in people's lives who just need a hand up!
At this time Operation Hero Comfort fundraiser will be able to be held.
The 7th Annual Soup & Chowder Festival is Saturday December 12 at the QIA 11am until the soup runs out.
This fundraiser for the Friends of the Quartzsite Food Bank is looking for individuals, businesses, and organizations to enter their best soup or chowder for the contest. Also, there is a dessert contest that supplies the event with the most wonderful sweets. During the event, there will be raffles and music.
To enter the contests or have an item for the raffle call 603-834-0647.
Well it is not to early to start making plans for the next Annual Soup and Chowder Festival. This will be the seventh year we have done this. Each year more people get involved and we are able to raise more funds for our local food bank.
The date for the event this year is Saturday December 12, 2020. With the help of many in the community we can join hands and make this years event the best one yet. What a wonderful way of getting local residents, visitors, businesses, clubs, non profits all together to help those truly in need of a helping hand.
2018 First place the Yacht Club and second was the new store in town the Coyote Fresh Foods, Third place went to a newbie in town LeDell Greshan.
Peoples choice was Laurie Curran and her Mother Alletta Hanna with their Taco soup.
The Dessert contest was won by Annette Belz with an awesome carrot cake.
I want to sincerely like to thank all of the people who helped with this event and the QIA. Without their help and support to the food bank we would have nothing for those truly in need.
